Resolution problem

When i first installed Ubuntu, the graphics were hurting my eyes.
It was all disformed and corny.
To fix this, I opened up a terminal, and entered:

sudo dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg

This starts a script that configures your xserver.

Just follow the steps, select the vesa driver, and when you come to selecting resolution,
make sure you check off the 1280×800 setting.

Just follow all the steps till the end, just selecting the default ones.

Reboot

Should look much better now
